About Us

Peter Burian Lighting Consultants was established as an independent practice in 1973. The principal was grounded in all practical and hands-on aspects of the lighting industry with two of the leading and innovative firms of the time, The General Electric Company and Concord Lighting

The practice achieves a satisfying balance of design, budget and practical economics.

Often architects, designers and users have a clear vision of what they wish to achieve but may be frustrated by electrical engineers, installers and builders with conflicting requirements. The practice has great experience and success in harmonising all these diverse demands.

Based in London, the company has carried out work for many prominent private and public institutions and organisations. These include Churchill College, Oxford; Victoria and Albert Museum; Ismaili Centre; Drapers Company; Salters Company; City of London; Berkeley Square; Sutton Place, Guilford; River Island; Ravel and Total Oil as well as numerous private houses and gardens.. Work also includes projects with the Savoy Hotel and many other National and International Hotel Groups and Art Galleries. The company has also achieved international success with work carried out in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
